Rediscover Your Essence

I moved to the big smoke chasing ambition, chasing money, swept up in the pulse of London’s fast-paced grind. By day, I raced to meet deadlines; by night, I was building dashboards or buried in spreadsheets—chasing numbers under the glow of my laptop screen. As times went on, I became more disconnected—drained by the grind and dulled by it all. In the summer of 2019, I returned to Mongolia for a short visit. My father sensed something was off. Without hesitation, he packed his car, and we set off on a camping trip into the countryside.

We drove deep into the wilderness—long, winding roads unravelling into endless steppes. Somewhere along that quiet, sweeping journey, something began to shift within me. The tension I’d carried started to melt away. I wasn’t as rigid, nor as consumed by worry—and, as my sister later pointed out, not as muted either. Our destination: Tsagaan-Uur, or White Hive—a remote village in the north where my father was born. It wasn’t just a road trip. It was healing. The stillness of Lake Khuvsgul, the boundless skies, the quiet strength of nomadic hospitality… all of it brought me back to the essence of being. It reminded me of where I come from, and more importantly, what it truly means to feel alive and free. As we drove deeper into the wilderness—past winding roads and endless steppes—something shifted. Somewhere along 2200 kilometres of journey, I began to remember who I was. That journey gave birth to White Hive Travel. Not just a business, but a personal rediscovery. Of rhythm. Of meaning. Of connection.
